Grading Policy

In 5th grade, your child will adjust to several differences in their school day compared to their previous years. First of all, your child will be changing classes throughout the day.  Mr. Nerenberg will be teaching your child Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Health.  I will be teaching them Language Arts and Writing.  Another change will be their grades.  They will now be receiving letter grades instead of the standard based report card.  The weighted grades are as follows:  tests/projects 50%, quizzes 40% and class participation/assignments 10%
