*****Important Remote Learning Information*****
Parents,
I just wanted to provided some information about how we will utilize remote learning until further notice.
Remote learning will take place through schoology. Students know how to manipulate the site (creating and submitting documents). You can access the platform through the link on my website, though students will probably use Clever or a bookmark on their desktop. It would be best if the students use their laptops when working on assignments (passwords are saved and the students are familiar with the process using their school macbooks)
Daily lesson folders will be posted early each morning, and students can work on the assignments based on their schedule. To the students, I emphasized the importance of establishing a routine. In addition, I have advised the students that if they are not feeling well and will not be logging on to schoology to work on a specific day, to please have a parent email me that this is the case (for attendance purposes). Students should start by visiting the Homeroom course each day to find out our agenda for that day. Each assignment is labeled in the subject's course.
Students should also log onto the special area teacher's websites and/or Schoology pages for details on special area assignments.
I will be available between the hours of 10am and 2pm on school days via email. Please email with with any issues or concerns. This is new to all of us, and there are bound to be some bumps in the road.
If you work with any teachers other than Mrs. Letts (Mrs. Colucci, Mrs.DeSanto, Mrs. Rudd, Mr. Flemming, Mrs. Flanagan, Mrs. Clark or Mrs. Muller) they will be checking in and assigning work as well. Please let us know if you are having trouble finding your assignments.
One main take away is that this is a stressful time for all, especially the students, and I don't want to add to the stress. If you need anything, do not hesitate to contact me anytime. If students need assistance, they can contact me by messaging me in Schoology. I will do my best to reply as soon as possible. I look forward to getting back to normal and seeing all of the kids back in my classroom as soon as possible. All the best to the Aldrich families and the community as a whole.
Regards,
Mrs. Letts
